# An AppFollow alternative that also sees inside your app

Apparent is analytics for iOS and Android apps that tells you how each app is doing in plain words. AppFollow is built around reviews and the stores: it gathers reviews from both stores, replies with AI or auto replies, tracks rankings and keywords, and sends it all to tools like Slack and Zendesk. If you answer hundreds of reviews a week, AppFollow is the better pick. If you want to know who uses your app and who pays, next to the reviews, Apparent is.

## The short version

### Pick Apparent if

- You want to see what people do inside your app, not only what they say in the stores
- You sell through RevenueCat and want buyers tied to what they did first
- You'd rather get a push for a 5-star or 1-star review than run a support workflow

### Pick AppFollow if

- You answer many reviews and want AI replies, auto replies and tags
- Reviews go to a support team in Zendesk, Salesforce or Helpshift
- You work on ASO: keywords, rankings and search downloads per keyword

## Where they overlap

Both read App Store Connect and Google Play for all your apps: ratings, reviews, downloads and sales. Both tell you about new reviews.

## Where Apparent is different

- It sees inside your app: who's in it right now, screens, actions and crashes from Apparent's SDK.
- RevenueCat sales, trials and refunds sit next to the store numbers, tied to what each buyer did first.
- It reads like a story: a few sentences per app, then the numbers.
- Bad news beyond reviews: a new crash, downloads down 40% or more week on week, more people stopping at sign-up.

## Where AppFollow goes further

- Replying to reviews at scale, with AI replies in your brand voice, auto replies and workflows.
- Sending reviews to support tools: Zendesk, Salesforce, Helpshift, Freshdesk, Intercom and more.
- ASO: keyword tracking and search downloads per keyword.
- An MCP server that works in ChatGPT and Gemini as well as Claude.

## Questions

Is Apparent an AppFollow alternative?

For seeing how your apps do, yes, with in-app use and RevenueCat added. It doesn't reply to reviews or do ASO; for those, AppFollow is the better pick.

Can Apparent reply to reviews?

No. It tells you about each new 5-star and 1–2-star review, with the store and country; you reply in App Store Connect or Play Console.

Does Apparent work with ChatGPT like AppFollow's MCP?

Not yet. Apparent's MCP server takes a token in a header, which Claude Code, Cursor and Codex support; ChatGPT's connectors need OAuth.

What does Apparent cost?

Plans start at $10 a month, with 14 days free and no card.
