Apple Ads, next to the downloads and sales they brought
Apple Ads shows what a campaign spent and how many installs Apple counted. It can't show what those people did next. Apparent puts each campaign on your app's own chart, next to every other download, and with RevenueCat it says who paid and whether the ads earned back what they cost.
What Apparent reads from Apple Ads
- Spend
- What each campaign spent per day and country, in US dollars and in your ad account's own currency.
- Installs
- Apple's tap-through installs: someone tapped the ad and installed. Views without a tap are never added.
- Keywords
- Spend, taps and installs per keyword, so you see which words brought people in.
- Changes
- When a bid, budget or keyword changed, or a campaign paused, marked on the chart where it happened.
- History
- Up to two years of campaigns, read once when you connect. Older reports can be imported from a file.
How it reads on your page
Apple Ads brought 80 of Fern's 162 iPhone downloads on Tuesday, half the busiest day of the month.
- Ads paid back 64% of what they cost so far: $58 spent, 4 buyers RevenueCat ties to the campaign.
- You raised the bid on "plant care" on Monday; installs from it doubled the next day.
Connecting Apple Ads
- Apparent makes a key for you. Paste its public half on an API user in Apple Ads (Account Settings › API), then paste back the three ids Apple shows.
- Apparent reads your campaigns, keywords and change history, going back up to two years.
- With RevenueCat connected and Apple's attribution token collected in your app, buyers are tied to the campaign that brought them.
How fresh the numbers are
Apparent reads today's numbers hour by hour and checks the last few days again, since Apple keeps counting installs for up to 30 days after a tap.
What Apple Ads still does
Apple Ads stays where you create campaigns, set bids and budgets and pick keywords. Apparent only reads. It never changes a bid or spends money, and ad installs are shown as part of your App Store downloads, never added on top.

Questions
Can I see if Apple Ads paid back?
Yes, with RevenueCat connected. Apparent counts what people tied to each campaign paid and compares it with what the campaign cost. People it can't tie to a campaign are never guessed.
Does Apparent count view-through installs?
No. Only installs where someone tapped the ad, the way Apple counts them per install.
Does it use the new Apple Ads API?
Yes, the Apple Ads Platform API. The older Campaign Management API is switched off in January 2027.
Can Apparent change my campaigns?
No. It reads reports and change history only.
What does it cost?
Nothing while Apparent is in beta.
