In-app chat for your mobile app
People who hit a problem in your app don't open their email to tell you. They close the app. An in-app chat lets them ask right where they are, and with Apparent you see what they were doing when they wrote: the screen, the error, the app version. No guessing, no "can you send a screenshot?". It's part of every plan, so there's no second tool to pay for.

Sorry! Turn on Camera in Settings, and the next update will ask for it properly.
That worked, thanks 🙏

How it works
- Add one screen. Put Apparent's chat screen in your app. It takes your app's colour, font and corners, and its words in any language.
- People write from the app. They ask without leaving it, with a picture if they want. No account or email needed.
- You get a push. Every message lands in Apparent's Chats, on the web and on your phone, with what they did right before writing.
- They see your answer in the app. Next time the chat is open, your answer is there. A badge can tell them a new one came.
What you see next to each message
- Who wrote: their country, phone, app version and language.
- What they did in the app right before writing, from Apparent's own events: the screens, the taps, the error they hit.
- Whether they started using the app today.
- A test phone is marked, so your own tries don't look like real people.
The same chat in every app
Every app gets the same tried layout, bubbles and motion, so it feels right on day one. You only change what makes it yours: the main colour, the font, how round the corners are, dark or light, the background and the words. Text on your colour switches between dark and white so it always reads, and right-to-left languages like Arabic work.
Built for people who make apps on their own
- No seats and no per-message fees: one plan for every app you make.
- In every plan, with a monthly cap that fits small apps: Solo ($10 a month): 1k chat messages a month. Indie ($20 a month): 5k chat messages a month. Studio ($49 a month): 25k chat messages a month.
- No second SDK. The chat comes with Apparent's analytics SDK you already added.
- Private by default: each person's chat is read only with a random key kept on their phone, and your app can delete it when they ask.
What it doesn't do (yet)
- Today the chat is in the Expo and React Native SDK. Swift, Kotlin, Flutter and Capacitor come next.
- No help-centre articles, ticket queues or email inboxes. It's a chat between you and the people using your app.
- Answers written by AI are coming next. For now you answer, and you're told about every message.

Questions
What is an in-app chat?
A chat inside your app, where people write to you without leaving it and see your answer in the same place. It's the quickest way to hear about a problem before it turns into a one-star review.
Which apps can add Apparent's chat?
Expo and React Native apps today, with the apparent-expo SDK. Swift, Kotlin, Flutter and Capacitor are next.
Where do I answer?
In Apparent: on the web at apparent.fyi (Chats) or in the Apparent phone app. Every message is a push.
Does it cost extra?
No. It's in every plan, with a monthly cap on messages from people in your apps (1,000 during the 14-day trial). Your own answers don't count.
Do people need an account?
No. Each phone gets its own chat, kept apart per account once someone signs in.
Can they send a picture?
Yes, a JPEG, PNG or WebP under 6 MB. So can you.
