Monthly active users (MAU)
Monthly active users (MAU) is the number of different people who used your app at least once in the last 30 days.
Also called MAU.
In plain words
21,480 people used Fern in the last 30 days.
How Apparent would say it about Fern, an example app in the live demo.
How it's worked out
Count each person once across the 30 days.
Good to know
It's the size of your real audience: everyone who still uses the app, even if only now and then. Downloads tell you how many people tried it; monthly active users tell you how many kept it.
Monthly active users isn't the sum of daily ones. Someone who opens the app every day is one monthly user, not thirty.
Apps people use weekly, like a budgeting app, look small on daily numbers and healthy on monthly ones. Judge your app by the rhythm it's meant to have.

Your app's own events.
