Funnel
A funnel is a series of steps people take toward a goal, showing how many make it from each step to the next.
Also called Conversion funnel.
In plain words
Of the people who opened Fern for the first time, 6 in 10 added a plant and 1 in 13 bought a subscription.
How Apparent would say it about Fern, an example app in the live demo.
Good to know
A funnel shows where people drop off. If most people see the paywall but few start a trial, the paywall is the step to work on.
The most useful funnel for an app starts in the store: people who saw the app, opened its page, downloaded it, opened it, and paid. The first steps come from the store, the rest from your app.
Keep funnels short. Three to five steps you can act on are clearer than a dozen.
Where the number comes from
Store steps from App Store Connect and Google Play; app steps from your own events; purchases from RevenueCat or the stores.
