Proceeds
Proceeds are the money you keep from a sale after the store's commission and, where they apply, taxes.
Also called Net revenue, Developer proceeds.
In plain words
Fern's subscriptions earned $1,284 this month after Apple's and Google's cut.
How Apparent would say it about Fern, an example app in the live demo.
How it's worked out
Price paid, minus sales tax or VAT where it's included, minus the store's commission.
Good to know
When someone pays $9.99, you don't get $9.99. In many countries the price includes VAT, which comes off first. Then Apple or Google keeps its commission, usually between 10% and 30% depending on the program, the kind of purchase and the country.
Apple's sales reports show both the customer price and your proceeds. Revenue numbers in many tools are the price before the cut, so check which one you're reading.
Our free App Store and Google Play fee calculator works out proceeds for a price and a fee.
